Locations
Design Fest Gent is taking over downtown Ghent. Some locations and their programme:
Design Museum Gent: the emptied museum shows design projects, gives lectures, workshops and demonstrations, organizes a design nursery, partner projects and much more.
It also serves as the main location and starting point of the festival.In the courtyard is the garden terrace of Villa Anamma.
Museum of Industry: focuses on all types of fabric.
The Museum Café will be open.
DaDa Chapel: contemporary art installations of Maarten Vanden Eynde
S.M.A.K.: Soulhacker installation & performances art collective CREW from 28.04. Please note: your day pass or festival pass does not give access to the exhibitions in S.M.A.K.
The Wilde Route: a route along 15 Ghent design shops where young designers get to work with the shop’s unsold stock
Gallery Tatjana Pieters, Gallery Casa Argentaurum, Kiosk Gallery and Gallery Atelier Ecru show contemporary art and design related to the DFG themes
MIRY Concert Hall of KASK & Conservatorium: venue for the larger lectures
Polestar Space: showing BreaZea (Breathe In/ Breathe Out) created by crafting plastics! studio i.c.w. OFFICE MMK
Kunstencentrum Voo?uit: location for the Impact Gathering and an artwork created by Arnaud Eubelen re-creating the urban context (from 27/04)
St James’ Church: the church chairs are being refurbished by ONBETAALBAAR in collaboration with CAMPO, 019 & Design Museum Gent. Amen to that!

Dada Chapel: closed on 22, 25, 26 & 27 April. All other days of the festival open from 2 p.m. until festival closing time.
Shop Design Museum Gent: open every day from 2 p.m. until festival closing time.
Polestar Space: The Space is closed on Sundays/ Mondays. Open all other days from 10h to 18h.
St James’ Church: Open on 22, 23, 24, 29, 30 April & 1 May from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
